About us

It’s more than a restaurant, we’re proud to be a gathering space for our community. It’s uniquely common to run into your neighbor, childhood friend, or family member while dining at Judi’s Place. We strive to provide a comfortable environment so you can enjoy quality time with friends and family over a homemade meal.

OUR HISTORY

Around the 1900s, Judi's grandparents immigrated to America, the land of opportunity. Her parents, Peter and Grace Maculan, opened Miss Rockford Diner with seating for 30,000, ten at a time! In 1963 Mom and Dad established their first Peter Piper Restaurant in Milwaukee which grew like crazy. Judi, coming from an Italian family, worked in her family's restaurants since she took her first steps. Emmanuel was raised on his family farm on the Greek island of Crete. In 1988, as a 23 year old he arrived in Wisconsin and began his restaurant career. Both coming from cultures where gathering around the table is not only to satisfy an appetite, but to create and maintain bonds, it is only natural that Emmanuel and Judi Fergadakis opened Judi's Place in July 2001.

At Judi's you will find more than delicious home cooking, but you will also discover a unique, warm atmosphere of family and friends. We promise hearty portions at a reasonable price, featuring a wide variety of favorites just like Mom used to make. Pop in for breakfast or lunch and you will be greeted with a smile at Judi's. The family tradition continues as Judi now runs the business with her three daughters- Despina, Eirini, and Cali.
